MFPP Medical Support
Medical Support referrals are not required for parents or relative caretakers who are enrolled in Minnesota Family Planning Program ( MFPP), even if the parent or relative caretaker has a child under age 19 enrolled in Medical Assistance (MA).
However, MFPP is not available to a parent or relative caretaker who has been dis-enrolled from MA for non-cooperation with medical support requirements. If MA was closed for non-cooperation, the parent or relative caretaker is not eligible for MFPP until they cooperate with MA medical support requirements. If the parent or relative caretaker cooperates, MFPP eligibility may begin the first day of the month in which cooperation occurs. Refer to Section 2.1.1.2.1.3.2 MA Medical Support for more information.
