According to OSHA, every employer has to provide to each of his employees a place of employment that is free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. In addition, employers must comply with occupational safety and health standards laid out under the Act. However, employees must also comply with the safety and health standards, rules, regulations and orders under the Act. Therefore, it is both the responsibility of the employer and the employee to ensure safe working conditions.
