This page explains what information aaronhall.com collects, why, and what happens to it. The site is operated by Hall PC, the Minnesota law practice of attorney Aaron Hall.
This page describes data practices. The Website Terms of Use governs your use of the site and controls if the two ever appear to differ, and the Cookie Policy describes tracking technologies in detail.
Information You Send Me
The contact form. When you submit the contact form, I receive the name, email address, phone number, and message you enter. Submissions pass through a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which screens automated traffic. Each submission is stored for 90 days in Cloudflare’s key-value storage so that a message lost in transit can be recovered, and it is delivered to my email through Brevo, an email delivery service. After 90 days the stored copy expires automatically.
Email and phone. If you email or call me directly, I keep that correspondence as part of my ordinary business records.
What I do with it. I use what you send to respond to you and, if we work together, to represent you. I do not sell, rent, or trade it.
One disclosure worth stating plainly. As the Terms of Use provide, if I conclude that someone else is better suited to your situation, I may forward your information to that person so they can respond to you.
Before You Send Anything Confidential
Contacting me does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information you send before I have run a conflict check is not protected as a client confidence. Please do not send confidential or sensitive material until I have confirmed there is no conflict of interest and we have agreed that I represent you.
The Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address is stored with MailerLite, the service that sends the newsletter. I use it to send the newsletter and nothing else. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they arrive. This reports patterns across visitors, such as pages viewed, approximate location, and referring source. I do not use it to identify individual readers, and I do not combine it with what you send through the contact form. You can block it with a browser setting or with Google’s opt-out add-on.
Hosting and Delivery
The site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare, which processes ordinary web-server information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is what makes the site load and stay available.
Children
This site is written for business owners and is not directed to children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your Choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any issue.
- Block or delete cookies through your browser settings, as described in the Cookie Policy.
- Ask me to delete what I hold about you by emailing [email protected]. I will do it unless a legal or professional obligation requires me to keep it, and I will tell you if that is the case.
Changes
If I change this policy, the revised version appears here with a new date at the top.
