I had some questions about taxes in Minnesota and I didn't know where to find the answer. I stumbled across Aaron's name online and sent an email to him, looking for some guidance. I let him know that if he didn't want to answer questions from some random person who found him online, I'd be happy if he simply pointed me in the right direction and I'd continue on my way. He generously responded to my email with some general (yet very helpful) information about my tax questions, let me know which government department to contact if I needed to pursue my issue further, and let me know he'd be happy to answer any additional questions I may have. I really needed some guidance and direction on a issue and I can't afford an Attorney right now. So, I reached out to Mr. Aaron Hall hoping he could help. I don't know Mr. Hall and this is my first time contacting an Attorney for my issue. Much to my surprise. I received an email right away from Mr Hall regarding my issue at hand. He shared a lot of valuable information and support that I really needed to try and resolve my issue myself. He was so generous, well versed and specific to my issue. I first reached out to Aaron in April and I am so happy that I did. I have been looking for a knowledgeable attorney to guide me through the process of converting my sole proprietorship into a public benefit corporation, and Aaron stood out to me right away. PBCs in Minnesota are still relatively new/uncommon and unfortunately not well understood, and I am flying by the seat of my pants, so I really needed to find someone who just “gets” it. Aaron established trust immediately and he was quick to answer all of my many questions, even through e-mail. I am also disabled and on a fixed income, so I’ll be honest, I was hesitant to pay for an initial consultation with anyone. I had previously met with two other attorneys that offered free consultations, but I had also spent the majority of my time with them educating them on PBCs, what they are and how they work. These free consults were ultimately not a good use of my time. By contrast, my initial meeting with Aaron was very organized and well-structured. I came into the meeting a bit frenetic and all over the place, and Aaron skillfully brought us back to task and kept us on track. My wife and I purchased the assets from an existing small business this spring and started our own LLC. We were completely new to this so we had a number of questions. I was a little apprehensive when he wanted the initial consultation fee up front and I still had a number of questions to understand if it was even going to be the right fit. So I started emailing Aaron all my initial questions. Aaron answered all of my questions and was very responsive to every email. After gaining all of that information and understanding of the process we decided to go with him and do the initial consultation.
